At the drop of a hat, I booked this album immediately. Then I got this CD with some laser pointers. Now this album is still lying in my CD player and is being played over and over again! This is, without a doubt, one of the most albums worth looking forward to at the tail end of the year. The album is filled with a real and authentic church vibe. There are Oh Santa! with festive fusion of Christmas bells, claps and background vocals, Christmas Time Is in The Air Again with a nice little jazzy sound from the 50s, Born Is The King with a sexy, sultry 90s’ R&B style for a magical ending. In addition, the live version of classic O Holy Night is so amazing with Mariah’s unmatchable vocal runs and high notes and All I Want for Christmas is You (Extra Festive) is not less than the original version in 1994. All of these elements build a happy, fun holiday album. I believe Mariah’s newly holiday album will light up your December.
